Volunteers needed

M-Power is staffed exclusively by volunteers and we need more in order to offer our existing services to clients and to extend the services we provide. You can get an idea of the range of services we offer by browsing this website.

Our office is based in Norwich.

We are looking for men and women who are non-judgemental, who have respect and understanding, and demonstrate integrity for their fellow human beings. You must be comfortable working with men who have been physically and/or sexually abused. Above all, you must be able to listen with respect for the caller.

You do not need any special qualifications or experience as we will provide extensive training and ongoing assessment.

We need people to assist in manning the helpline, for answering emails and for assisting with the running of the operation.

To be considered for the counselling work we do with our clients, you must be qualified to at least Diploma level and be a member of a recognised professional body (such as BACP, UKCP etc). Specialist training will also be provided for counsellors.

If you are interested, or think that you may be, please contact us either by email (admin@seva-uk.org) or on our helpline.
